International law firm Eversheds has advised Collins Stewart Europe Limited (Sponsor and Joint Bookrunner) and Macquarie Capital Europe Limited (Joint Bookrunner) on the listing of Energy Assets on the London Stock Exchange?s Main Market.
The company, which will have a market capitalisation of about ?57m following the initial public offering (IPO), was admitted to the premium segment of the main market of the London Stock Exchange on Thursday. The listing is the first Scottish company to list on the LSE for nearly nine months.
Energy Assets is the largest independent provider of gas metering and related services to the UK Industrial and Commercial market. It has contracts with power companies including British Gas and Corona Energy.
About 7.1 million shares will be created for the IPO, with existing shareholder Macquarie Investments selling a further 7.2 million shares following the flotation.
The Eversheds team was led by partner Rob Pitcher, assisted by senior associate Luis Martin.
Rob Pitcher commented:
?In the current economic climate it is increasingly unusual to see the listing of UK companies on the LSE. This is a substantial listing which should assist Energy Assets in achieving its strategic growth objectives.?
