"It's just tough around this time, the weather," Florida guard Kenny Boynton said. "I'm not sure what caused the water, but it's definitely tough. We've got to get an indoor event, I guess."

Ohio State and Marquette never got started aboard the USS Yorktown in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The tipoff was delayed for about a half-hour as coaches, players and officials waited for the conditions to improve. The weather didn't get better, and the teams are unlikely to reschedule the meeting this season.

"All were apprehensive about playing the game," referee John Cahill said. "You could feel the wet spots on the floor. Our primary concern is with the student-athlete. The last thing we want is any kid who's got a future in the game of basketball to be injured as a result of this."

No. 9 Syracuse and No. 20 San Diego State are set to play Sunday afternoon on the USS Midway in San Diego. The game aboard the flight deck of the aircraft carrier was originally scheduled for Friday night, but moved back because of a strong chance of rain and wind.

"The purpose of the game is to play it on the Midway," SDSU coach Steve Fisher said.

Late Friday afternoon, the Yorktown hosted a women's game as No. 7 Notre Dame beat No. 19 Ohio State 57-51 without any problems on the court.

The Ohio State-Marquette matchup was part of the second Carrier Classic, the first a magnificent spectacle last year between North Carolina and Michigan State attended by President Barack Obama on the USS Carl Vinson outside San Diego.

The contest raises money for several groups that help troops and veterans. It was a showcase for Veterans Day weekend.

Marquette coach Buzz Williams said the lost game wouldn't change his mind about playing again on an aircraft carrier.

"We'll play anywhere, anytime in this type of event for this type of purpose," he said.

Florida and Georgetown had no problems on the court in the first half. The teams warmed up after the break, then players, coaches and the referees tried to no avail to dry the surface on the 388-foot amphibious assault ship.

Event organizers said they want to try to play it again next year.

"We've got to go back to work and maybe become meteorologists and do some things different. We and the Navy are committed to the event and doing it right," said Alan Verlander, director of sports and entertainment for the city of Jacksonville.

'Evolved': Hannity, Boehner say GOP should tackle immigration reform

Just two days after President Barack Obama sailed to reelection over Mitt Romney, boosted by more than 70 percent of the Latino vote, some Republicans are striking a new tone on illegal immigration.

Conservative Fox News and radio host Sean Hannity said Thursday that his views on immigration have "evolved." Hannity continued:

We've gotta get rid of the immigration issue altogether. It's simple for me to fix it. I think you control the border first, you create a pathway for those people that are here, you don't say you gotta go home. And that is a position that I've evolved on. Because you know what--it just--it's gotta be resolved. The majority of people here--if some people have criminal records you can send' em home--but if people are here, law-abiding, participating, four years, their kids are born here...first secure the border, pathway to citizenship...then it's done. But you can't let the problem continue. It's gotta stop.

Meanwhile, in an interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer, House Majority Leader John Boehner said he is "confident" the two parties can agree to a deal on immigration.

"This issue has been around far too long," Boehner said. "A comprehensive approach is long overdue, and I'm confident that the president, myself, others can find the common ground to take care of this issue once and for all."

Just two years ago, Boehner said it was worth considering amending the U.S. Constitution to end birthright citizenship, because he said it might discourage people from illegally crossing the border.

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who supports immigration reform, said on CBS Friday that Republicans had sent "mixed messages" about immigration. "On the immigration issue, which turned out to be very important, and some issues about women too, some mixed messages were sent," she said.

The party has been searching for answers about why Romney lost what seemed like a very winnable election. Many within the party have pointed to the GOP's demographics problem: Romney lost every group except for white voters, which is a shrinking portion of the electorate. Latinos this year made up 10 percent of all voters, according to the national exit poll, a share that will only grow each election. Like other groups, Latino voters care most about jobs and the economy, but 35 percent of them listed immigration reform as their top issue in a poll conducted by Latino Decisions.

Latino voter and advocacy groups have said they expect both Obama and Congressional Republicans to work together to pass immigration reform in 2013.

Eliseo Medina, secretary treasurer of the Service Employees International Union, told reporters that Latino voters had sent a message to Obama.?"We expect leadership on comprehensive immigration reform in 2013," he said.?"To both sides we say: 'No more excuses.'"

Walmart on iPad-throwing video: 'Made us wince'

"Hi!?This is why you don't buy an iPad from Walmart," a young man explains at?the beginning of a YouTube video before turning the camera to his fellow Walmart associates, who are?throwing?? and occasionally dropping?? some boxes.

"See? We like to throw s***," the man clarifies, while standing in the stockroom of a Walmart in Pikeville, Kentucky. "That's iPad number three we've thrown."

Those at Walmart's corporate offices were not amused by the antics.?"We've seen the video of several nightshift associates destroying merchandise in the back of one of our stores in August and, as anyone can image, it made us wince," a Walmart spokesperson tells NBC News in response to inquiries about?that clip. "We are also embarrassed." She adds that the "associates involved no longer work for Walmart."

At one point in the video,?one of the men is seen throwing a box to ground.?"Sorry about that, iPad," the?person recording the video says. "Hope nobody buys that."?

"[W]e haven?t received any returns of this merchandise," the Walmart spokesperson tells NBC News, in regards to the items seen in the video.

The video, which???despite being recorded in August?? appears to have been uploaded to YouTube on?Thursday,?with a caption claiming that "[e]mployees at a Pikeville, KY Walmart filmed themselves purposefully damaging iPads." It caught a great deal of attention?after a Reddit user posted a link to it on the popular social sharing site. "[T]his was sent to me by an employee of this store," the user explains in a comment. "[T]hey're fired and prosecuted as well." The employee who sent over the video "confirmed that those are indeed iPads," the user adds.

A representative for the?Pikeville Police Department tells NBC News that "nothing has been reported" in regards to such an incident so far, casting some doubt on the claim that legal?charges were pursued against the individuals in the video. He suggests that perhaps Walmart handled the issue internally, though.

The Walmart incident doesn't mark the first time we've seen employees document abuse of merchandise, of course. Photos of a Burger King employee standing in bins containing lettuce and?a Taco Bell employee seemingly urinating on an order of nachos have previously appeared on the Internet.?The individuals involved in those incident were?terminated.

The message offered by each company involved had the same feel as the Walmart spokesperson's final words to NBC News: "We stand behind our merchandise and our associates work very hard to take proper care and handling of the products we put on our shelves."
